HOUSTON - The Texas Department of Public Safety uncovered more than $2,000 worth of cocaine in west Houston Wednesday night.
Troopers pulled a black BMW over for speeding on Highway 6 and Briar Forest Drive.
The driver pulled over at a gas station, but jumped out of the car and ran.
Troopers, along with Houston police and Precinct 5 Constable deputies searched for the man, but could not find him.
After checking his car, they found half of a "cookie" of cocaine worth thousands of dollars on the street.
