Caught on tape: 3 burglary suspects fleeing home

HOUSTON – Surveillance video caught three people, possibly teens, leaving the scene of a home burglary in northwest Houston.

The men appeared to be running and carrying high-end musical instruments, backpacks and electronics.

Houston police said the home burglary happened in the Mangum Manor neighborhood around 5 p.m. on May 12 in the 4900 block of Saxon Drive.

"A neighbor had installed cameras, and you can clearly see them running off with the stolen items," said Frank Heenan, a veteran officer with Houston Police Department.

Neighbors said three homes have been burglarized in the last six months.

"It's kids from Scarborough High School, I'm pretty sure," one woman, who wished to remain unidentified, said.

Heenan was not ready to label the three males seen on the video as either teens or students Scarborough High School.

"We need more information, someone to identify them," Heenan said.

Anyone with information about the recent home burglaries should contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS.
