Car collides with METRO bus in southwest Houston

HPD investigating which driver was to blame

HOUSTON – A man had to be pried from his car after a collision with a METRO bus in southwest Houston.

Police said the bus was traveling north on South Gessner and turned onto Briar Forest around 10 p.m. Thursday.

The bus hit a car that came from the other direction of South Gessner.

Police said they do not immediately know who was responsible for the collision.

The impact of the crash caused the man to be trapped in his car.

Firefighters with the Houston Fire Department cut the man out of the car and paramedics took him to the hospital in stable condition.

None of the 15 passengers on the METRO bus were injured.
