Burglars try to steal TVs at James Coney Island restaurant

HOUSTON - Police are searching for the burglars who tried to steal flat-screen TVs at a southwest Houston restaurant.

According to Houston police, the burglars set off the alarm at 5 a.m. Thursday at the James Coney Island at Richmond Avenue and Shepherd Drive. Police said they busted in through the front door and tried to grab the two TVs, but couldn't get them off the walls because of they were locked down.

Police said by the time officers arrived, the burglars were already gone. They have not said whether anything else was taken.
