BAYTOWN – Police said the man who was killed during an attempted home burglary in Baytown was a suspect in several other crimes.
According to Baytown police, 40-year-old Charles Allen Dixon III and 26-year-old Michael McDaniel broke into a home on Brentwood early Wednesday morning.

Police said the homeowner's 18-year-old grandson shot both of the suspects.
Dixon was taken to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital where he later died.
At last check, McDaniel was listed in critical condition at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston.
Baytown police said Dixon has been linked to another residential burglary in Baytown and several thefts.
