Armed suspects rob pharmacy of cash, drugs

HOUSTON – A pair of armed robbers terrorized two employees inside a pharmacy in north Harris County.

Deputies say just before 1 p.m. Thursday, two armed men burst into the pharmacy on Lexington near Louetta demanding money and drugs. The pharmacist tells Local 2 the two armed men jumped over the counter and one of them stuck a gun in his face and demanded to know where the safe was.

The other armed robber took his wallet and cleaned out the cash register.

The pharmacist lead the pair to the back of the store where they emptied the drugs from the safe, loaded them into a black grocery bag and raced out of the pharmacy, making a clean getaway.

"We're trying to determine what vehicle they fled in. It's possibly going to be a red Cadillac from what we are being told," said Sgt. Theis, with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The pharmacist says the suspects wore gloves and had their faces covered.
