Alleged identity thief in Katy area sought

Authorities say that the woman pictured has attempted to use fraudulent credit cards at multiple retail outlets.

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers are looking for an alleged identity thief.

Authorities say a woman stole the identity of another Katy-area woman to fraudulently use credit cards.

The victim first learned that her information had been compromised when she received bills saying she owed more than $4,800 for items purchased at two area retail stores.

The suspected thief opened credit cards at four stores, but only two have been used.

Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and the filing of charges of the woman connected with the case could earn up to a $5,000 reward. Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers can be called at 281-342-TIPS (8477) or through its website.
