5 arrested in ATV theft ring

BAYTOWN, Texas – Five men were arrested in connection with an ATV theft ring in Baytown.

Baytown police arrested Jefferson Cantrell, 24, Daniel Lucatero, 20, Christopher Amos, 19, Aaron Pena, 19, and Joel White, 21.

On Dec. 1, Baytown police recovered two stolen ATVs and one dirt bike while responding to a suspicious vehicle call in the 2700 block of Massey Tompkins.

Police identified Cantrell as a suspect and arrested him on unrelated charges.

Police said that during their investigation, detectives learned that Cantrell led four other men in a ATV theft ring.

At several locations, detectives recovered a total of 14 ATVs, three motorcycles and a utility trailer. The stolen goods totaled $25,000.

All five suspects face a charge of engaging in organized crime. Charges through Harris County are pending.
