HOUSTON – Three Houston area companies are among the top 10 best places to work for in America.
National Top Workplaces has just released its list for 2013. More than a million employees were polled from 872 large companies nationwide.

Detroit-based Quicken Loans, The nation's largest online retail mortgage lender, came in first place.
The Container Store out of Coppell, Texas, is No. 2. It was No. 1 last year.
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, based in The Woodlands, is ranked No. 3. Anadarko is among the largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the world.
Two more Houston companies made the list, including EOG Resources, Inc. The crude oil and natural gas company came in fifth place. The specialty bedding retailer Mattress Firm ranked No. 7.
Several other Texas companies made the top 10 list. Park Place Dealerships out of Dallas ranked No. 3, Pioneer Natural Resources came in sixth place, Keller Williams Reality ranked No. 9 and NuStar Energy came in at No. 10.
