2 women shot outside nightclub

HOUSTON – Police said a man opened fire outside of an east Houston nightclub, injuring two women.

According to reports, it all started around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the Tenampa nightclub on Market near Federal.  That's when staff at the club kicked out a man they said was causing a disturbance and starting fights.

Police said the man started shouting that he was going to come back and shoot up the place.

At 4 a.m., the club closed and a crowd moved out to the parking lot.  The suspect drove by in his car, pulled out a gun, and fired into the crowd.

Two female bystanders were shot -- one in the arm and the other in the leg.

They were both taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said witnesses gave them information on a possible suspect, but as of Sunday, no arrests have been made.

The names of the two victims were not immediately released.
