2 drivers injured in rollover car crash in southwest Houston

HOUSTON – Two drivers were injured in a rollover car accident in southwest Houston.

Around 1 a.m., police said a blue Scion was traveling northbound on the West Loop when it slammed into the back of an SUV near San Felipe Street.

According to reports, the force of the crash caused both cars to hit a concrete wall and flip over.

Crews transported the driver of the Scion to the hospital in stable condition. The driver of the SUV was treated at the scene.  Their names have not been released.

Police said the accident also closed northbound lanes on the West Loop, which reopened approximately 30 minutes later.
