HOUSTON – A man died and a woman was critically injured in a motorcycle crash in northwest Houston.
Around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, witnesses said a motorcycle speeding south on Bingle Road failed to make the curve at Emnora Lane. The driver hit the outside curb, went up on the sidewalk, and lost control of the motorcycle.

Police said the motorcycle and both riders--who were not wearing helmets--flipped over and slid down the road.
Emergency crews transported the 58-year-old female passenger to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said the driver died at the scene.
The victims' names have not been released.
