HOUSTON – Fifty four years ago Texas Southern University students took a stand against segregated lunch counters.
On March 4, 1960 they staged a sit in at the Weingarten Supermarket.

Tuesday students went back to that same spot to fight for a different cause, to save the Southmstage sit iore Post Office.
The postal service plans to close the post office because of budget problems.
Tuesday's sit in was the latest effort to save the post office in the last two months.
There is a letter writing campaign going on until March 26.
