Texas sees spike in West Nile cases

HOUSTON - 2012 has seen an unusual spike in West Nile virus cases in Texas.

There has already been one death related to the disease in Houston.

The majority of the cases have been reported in north Texas.

Dallas County has seen eight cases.

Records show 12 people have died statewide from West Nile.
