Texas police officer saves employees from burning truck

Officer pushes burning truck with his patrol car

GLENN HEIGHTS, Texas – A Glenn Heights police officer jumped into action when he saw a truck on fire at a Jack in the Box restaurant.

The truck was stuck in the drive-thru lane.

The quick thinking of the officer might have saved the lives of the employees inside, police said.

Officers responded at 9 p.m. Saturday to the Jack in the Box at 1703 S. Beckley Road.

Officer Chris Womack found the Ford truck engulfed in flames dangerously close to the restaurant.

He successfully moved the vehicle away from the building using his patrol vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
