HOUSTON – A Dickinson, Texas-based group that searches for missing people around the country and world has suffered two blows.
Thieves stole equipment from Texas EquuSearch in southeast Houston.
Two EquuSearch members were on a search Tuesday, when they took a break at the Golden Corral in the 12550 block of the Gulf Freeway. When they came out of the restaurant, they discovered someone had stolen their van, trailer, two ATVs and all of their search gear. So far none of the equipment has been recovered.

Also Texas EquuSearch tells KPRC Local 2 a former volunteer was arrested Monday for misusing a Texas EquuSearch volunteer debit card. Joseph Armentor is accused of racking up at least $4,700 in charges.
Armentor is the ex-boyfriend of Laura Miller. Laura Miller was the daughter of Texas EquuSearch founder, Tim Miller. Tim Miller founded the organization after his daughter's remains were found in an abandoned oil field in League City.
Tim Miller tells KPRC Local 2, Texas EquuSearch may not survive. They may have to start selling off equipment soon.
Texas EquuSearch's mission is to return missing people back to their loved ones. Natalee Holloway and Casey Anthony are some of the organization's high profile searches.
