Texans release schedule featuring 2 prime time games, Cowboys game

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans released their 2014 schedule and it features back-to-back prime time games against the Colts and Steelers in October.

The Texans will also travel to Dallas to take on the intra-state rival Cowboys.

Former head coach Gary Kubiak will return to Houston as offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 21.

Here's the schedule:

Week 1: Sept. 7 at 12 p.m. vs. REDSKINS
Week 2: Sept. 14 at 3:25 p.m. at Raiders
Week 3: Sept. 21 at 12 p.m. at Giants
Week 4: Sept. 28 at 12 p.m. vs. BILLS
Week 5: Oct. 5 at 12 p.m. at Cowboys
Week 6: Oct. 9 Thursday Night Football vs. COLTS
Week 7: Oct. 20 Monday Night Football at Steelers
Week 8: Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. at Titans
Week 9: Nov. 2 at 12 p.m. vs. EAGLES
Week 10: Nov. 9 BYE
Week 11: Nov. 16 at 12 p.m. at Browns
Week 12: Nov. 23 at 12 p.m. vs. BENGALS
Week 13: Nov. 30 at 12 p.m. vs. TITANS
Week 14: Dec. 7 at 12 p.m. at Jaguars
Week 15: Dec. 14 at 12 p.m. at Colts
Week 16: Dec. 21 at 12 p.m. vs. RAVENS

The Texans won their first two games of the 2013 season, only to finish 2-14 on the year.

The team holds the first overall draft pick in the NFL Draft on May 8.
