Texans DL Devon Still, daughter make a point to help cancer patients

HOUSTON – They are the father-daughter duo that captured hearts around the world: Football player Devon Still, now a Houston Texan, and his daughter, Leah.
She battled cancer and won.

Now, the family makes a point to connect with children battling cancer.

Still knows a lot about football and a lot about battling childhood cancer. His daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

"I once walked in those shoes with my daughter, Leah, when she was battling cancer, what I realized is that parents have to take care of themselves in order to take care of the children," Still said.

To help the families of children fighting cancer, his foundation provides financial support. Friday was more about pampering than anything, everything from manicures to massages to crafts for the kids.

"Since my daughter battled cancer, we made it our mission to make as much of an impact on the cancer community as possible. It doesn't stop just, because my daughter is in remission," Still said.

Still said his daughter, Leah, is well. She just graduated kindergarten and is starting swimming lessons.
