Teens carjacked leaving school

Thieves stripped car of tires, rims

HOUSTON – Two teenagers were followed and carjacked as they left their northwest Houston high school Friday.

Alan Garcia, 18, and his 16-year-old sister, Yvonne, had just left Eisenhower High School when Alan's 2004 Cadillac was rammed head-on in their neighborhood shortly after 10 a.m.

Garcia said he noticed the car following him as he turned into his neighborhood in the 5500 block of Sheraton Oaks.

A man with a gun fired one round and then ordered the teens out of the Cadillac.

"I thought that I was going to die and that my brother was going to die," Yvonne said.

"He just got out, shot the gun, told me and my sister to get out. I'm not going to do any mess around with that. I said, 'Go ahead. Just don't kill my little sister,'" Alan said.

Police found the vehicle about an hour later and eight miles away. The robbers stripped it of its tires and rims.

The robbers have not been found.
