Teen wanted in thefts at METRO stations in Texas Medical Center

METRO Police: Kassell Justice grabbed personal electronics, other items

HOUSTON – A teen is wanted in at least six thefts and robberies in the Texas Medical Center area since June.

METRO Police said Kassell Justice, 18, grabbed personal electronics and other items from unsuspecting victims.

Justice, witnesses said, works with accomplices who drive a silver Nissan Altima used as a getaway car.

Several of the victims were slow to alert police because of language differences and unfamiliarity with the city.

"At this point we've not had any indication that he's attempted to physically assault anyone. There was one case where someone's finger was broken as he was grabbing and snatching," said METRO spokesperson Jerome Gray.

METRO Police are working with University of Texas, Texas Medical Center and West University police to interview witnesses. Investigators are working on several leads.

Justice has been seen at Smith Lands and Reliant Park METRO stations, as well as on Knight and Holly Hall roads between Fannin and Almeda.

Anyone with information or knows Justice's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (222-8477).
