GALVESTON, Texas -

A 15-year-old was injured late Sunday after colliding with an ambulance in Galveston.

It happened in the 9500 block of Seawall Blvd. around 10:30 p.m.

Galveston police said the teen was riding a bicycle east bound on Seawall Blvd—in the westbound lane of traffic—when he collided with and an ambulance, also traveling westbound on Seawall Boulevard. Both were occupying the same lane, but traveling different directions.

Police said the teen was not outfitted with proper lighting equipment.
