HOUSTON -

The teen police said shot and killed his mother's boyfriend has been arrested.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. on December 26 at a home on Bobby Burns Street.

Police said Brandon Jackson, 18, shot and killed 35-year-old Ronalee "Deandre" McGuire.

On the night of the shooting, police responded to the home and found McGuire inside his home with at least one gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Witnesses told police McGuire's girlfriend and her son, Jackson, left the home after the shots were fired.

Upon further investigation, Jackson was identified as the suspect in the shooting.

Investigators in the HPD Investigative First Responder Division Warrant Execution Team obtained information on Jackson's whereabouts and arrested him on Monday, January 27without incident.

Jackson is charged with murder.
