Suspects on the loose after robbing Family Dollar in northwest Houston

HOUSTON – Police are searching for two men who tied up employees and robbed a Family Dollar in northwest Houston  Monday morning. Investigators said the thieves tormented several employees before stealing cash.

According to Houston police, two masked men  carrying guns, walked in to the Family Dollar in the 6800 block of T.C. Jester. shortly before 8 a.m. and tied up two employees, robbed the store and fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash. One of the employees managed to get on the phone and call a loved one after the men left the store.

“They hogtied them, and then held them at gunpoint,” Casandra Tarvar, who is a mother of one of the employees said. “He called me right after they left and I came over here to see if he was OK, that’s my son and I was scared for him. They had the gun on him and they were making him look for the manager to get the money.” 

Officer said the men left with money, but did not hurt the employees.

It is unclear what direction they left in, or if they fled on foot or in a vehicle.
