HOUSTON -

A man faces drunken driving charges after an early morning accident in southwest Houston.

Officials said around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, a man driving a pickup truck crossed over the middle median on Fondren, slammed into an SUV waiting for red light to change, hit another SUV before rolling over.

Authorities said the driver of the second SUV was pinned in the vehicle and had to be rescued by Houston firefighters. He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Officials said the driver of the first SUV was also transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The suspected drunk driver was arrested and faces DWI charges.
