Houston police said Orellana kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from the Houston Community College's Spring Branch campus about 5 p.m. Monday and forced her, at gunpoint, to call her current boyfriend, who is a salesman at Gilman Honda in the 10500 block of the West Sam Houston Parkway.

Orellana and his ex-girlfriend went to the dealership. Orellana hid while his ex-girlfriend met her boyfriend in his car in the parking lot, investigators said.

Detectives said Orellana then confronted the car salesman and stabbed him.

Shots were also fired, but no one was wounded, police said.

The car salesman drove to a car wash bay at the dealership and ran for help, officials said. Employees at the dealership called 911.

Orellana jumped into the car salesman's car and drove away with his ex-girlfriend, police said. The woman was later dropped off at an undisclosed location, officials said.

The car salesman was taken to Ben Taub Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
