A suspect in the shooting death of a teenager has turned himself in to police.
Earlier this week, the Harris County Sheriff's Office put out an alert about Jose Alejandro Perez. The HCSO teamed up with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force to find him.
Deputies said Perez was wanted in connection to the September 28th shooting death of Shelly Wilson.
Deputies found Wilson, 18, lying in the roadway next to his pickup truck in West Harris County.
Deputies said Wilson had stopped at the intersection of Fry and Younglake Drive, and that's where he encountered Perez in his 2010 black Ford F-150 pickup. Deputies said there were two other people inside Perez's truck.
According to deputies, there was a verbal exchange and Wilson was shot.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Perez turned himself in on Monday. He is currently free after posting a $50,000 bond.
