Moye's boyfriend, Nathan Mitchell, was found sitting in the tub with her.

"Patrol officers responded and found them both in the bathtub. (He was) incoherent. Both were transported," said Roy Swainson with the Houston Police Department said on June 4. "She was dead on arrival. He was transported and hopefully he can shed some light at what took place out here."

Mitchell was later released from the hospital.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined that Moye, 37, had been strangled.

Detectives said said Mitchell was their suspect in Moye's death.

Police got information regarding Mitchell's whereabouts, and they went to a home in the 5900 block of Beltdart to look for him on Wednesday.

Officers said they found Mitchell dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
