HOUSTON -

The man who investigators say opened fire at a northwest Harris County apartment last week, killing three people and critically injuring two others, has been captured.

Johnathan Sanchez, 25, was arrested in east Harris County on Saturday by members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitives Task Force.

Sanchez was supposed to appear in court Sunday morning, but complained of chest pains and was treated by doctors at the jail instead.

Sanchez, also known as "J Boi," is charged with capital murder in connection with the Nov. 20 shooting at the Peppermill Place Apartments on Sunbury Lane.

Seventeen-year-old Daniel Munoz, 17-year-old Veronica Hernandez and 22-year-old Yosseln Alfaro were killed during the shooting.

Court records show Sanchez has been in trouble before. He spent three years in state prison for carrying a handgun into a place that sold alcohol.

Records also show he was convicted of aggravated robbery when he was a minor.

Sanchez is scheduled to face a judge Monday morning.
