SUGAR LAND, Texas - The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a armed robbery in the Sugar Land area.
At 8:20 p.m. June 23, deputies responded to an armed robbery in the 9300 block of Highway 6.
According to deputies, the elderly victim was loading his groceries into his vehicle when he was approached by the suspect with a handgun.
The suspect demanded and stole the victim's wallet.
After investigating, deputies located and identified the suspect, who was taken into custody.
Aaron El-Sharif, 22, is charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest.
Investigators say El-Sharif already had additional charges for which warrants had been previously issued.
His bond was set at $150,000 for the robbery charge and an additional $10,000 for the evading arrest charge.
Combined with the previous charges, two counts of robbery, El-Sharif's total bond is $180,000. He remains in the Fort Bend County Jail.
