HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against a suspect involved in the fatal stabbing of a 54-year-old man.
Karen Kiriago is accused of killing Van Rogers around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2014 at 7170 Parker.

According to officials, Kiriago told investigators she was making dinner when she saw Rogers step outside his apartment with a friend. Moments later, Rogers returned with stab wounds to his chest.
Rogers was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died.
An investigation determined Kiriago, Roger's common-law wife, fled the Houston area. She was arrested in Henderson, Texas on Thursday.
Kiriago is charged with murder.
