HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against the suspect in the fatal shooting of a security guard.
According to officials, Juan Jimenez, 24, is charged with capital murder.

Officials say the victim was shot at 100 Casa Grande around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to HPD Homicide Sgt. M. Holbrook and officer V. McLean, patrol officers responded to a call regarding shots fired at an apartment complex.
The officers arrived and saw HFD putting out a fire in a nearby complex and a the victim, a male security guard, lying in the roadway.
The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported seeing several men running from the fire and hearing gun shots.
The victim's identity is still pending verification.
