A SWAT standoff with a suicidal man in northwest Houston ended without incident Tuesday night.
Around 7:20 p.m., Houston police responded to reports of a man attempting to commit suicide at a home on Janak Drive and Woodvine Drive.
After talking with the man for an extended period of time, police said he still refused to come out. HPD then called in the SWAT team.
Negotiators talked to the man until he finally surrendered around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the man was taken to the hospital to be treated and evaluated; his name was not released.
No injuries were reported.
