SUGAR LAND, Texas - A Sugar Land woman's idea has landed her in the finals of a major competition.

Kimberly Harrington entered a Marriott contest, looking for ways to make hotels better.

With her idea, hotels would send a specialized bar code to your cell phone. You would then scan that code on the door to unlock it.

Harrington is one of 15 finalists.

A panel of judges will be choosing the grand prize winner, who will get to travel internationally working with Marriott on refining their winning idea.
