HOUSTON – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Subway at gunpoint in North Harris County.
The manager said a man came into the restaurant at FM 1960 near Aldine Westfield around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Three female employees were inside at the time.
A man happened to enter the restaurant at the same time the suspected robber was leaving.
“He ran across the parking lot and I got in a car and tried to follow him but he went into the U-Haul storage area and there was a car waiting for him over there and he got in the car, pulled out on 1960 and I couldn’t keep up with him," said Virgil.
Officials said the man got away with cash from the restaurant. It is unknown how much was taken.
The manager said they were especially on edge because of the recent deadly shooting at Subway in southeast Houston.
"I was really nervous. You know what happened with Subway last week. So I was really nervous," said manager Isabella Delgado.
Delgado was talking about Javier Flores. The high school student who was shot and killed defending his mother at a Subway in southeast Houston. No such connection has been made to this recent robbery in the Humble area.
There is very little information about the description of the man other than the fact that he was wearing a mask and got away in an unknown vehicle.
