HOUSTON -

A two-alarm fire at an oil facility in northwest Harris County burned for hours on Saturday.

Firefighters arrived at 18611 FM 529 around 3:15 p.m. after reports of explosions and a fire.  When they arrived at the scene, they found several storage tanks on fire.

"Several of them look like they did explode," said Dean Hensley, with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.  "The other tanks are still intact, but obviously the fluids and oils inside the tanks are still burning."

Firefighters were forced to shut down parts of FM 529 while they battled the blaze.

Firefighters blamed severe weather and thunderstorms in the area for starting the fire.
