States with most, least expensive average cost of case of beer

HOUSTON – Ever wonder how much it costs to buy a case of beer in, say, Arizona?

Well, thanks to some nifty research by SimpleThriftyLiving.com, now you can see the cheapest states in which to buy beer.

Texas, perhaps surprisingly, is near the top when it comes to the most expensive states to buy a case of beer, averaging $21.66.

Michigan has the cheapest case, at $14.62.

The website visited 10 stores in rural and urban part of each state and averaged the price of a case of 12 ounce cans of Miller Lite and Bud Light.
