SPRING, Texas - A Spring family whose daughter has been missing for a year continues to hope that she come home safe.
Alexandria Lowitzer, also known as Ali, disappeared on April 26, 2010, after getting off her school bus just a few feet away from the family's home.
Ali's mother said she spoke to her daughter, who was 16 then, moments before she was dropped off at her stop, and Ali told her she planned on walking to her job at the Burger Barn to pick up her check.
Co-workers told authorities that Ali never showed up.
On Tuesday, Ali's friends dedicated a picnic table at Bayer Park in Spring to her. Ali played softball at the park for six years.
Anyone with information regarding Ali's whereabouts is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-221-6000.
