Teen attacked while walking home from school

HUMBLE, Texas – The Humble Independent School District Police Department has increased patrols around Atascocita High School in their search for the person who attacked a 15-year old freshman who was walking home from school.

Hunter Parker suffered  bruises, a busted lip and other abrasions when he said someone jumped out of some bushes at the edge of campus last Thursday and beat him for several minutes -- all while someone else recorded the attack on a cellphone.

"He said about five minutes into it the guy got up," Hunter's mother Carrie Dean said. "Apparently there was a young lady off to the side that was recording it. And he said, 'Did you get it?" And she said, 'Yeah I got it.'"

Hunter's mother, who is a paramedic, said she knew the injuries were serious once she saw her son after the attack.

"He said the most he could do was like a back swing with his elbow to try to get him off," Dean said. "He said he couldn't get him off of him."

Parker's family said they were concerned after notices were not sent to parents informing them of the attack. After Channel 2 phone calls to the district Monday afternoon a notice  was emailed. Parker's family said their main goal is for Parker's attackers to be caught.

"We all want to know who did this. I want the child held accountable for it," Dean said. "And there was a video. Somebody out there knows, somebody out there has seen it."

There was at least one other witness, but because Hunter was attacked from behind he was unable to give a clear description of his attacker.
