Southeast Texas wakes up to cold temps

HOUSTON – A good part of the state woke up to freeze warnings Tuesday.

Huntsville was the only in Southeast Texas with actual freezing temperatures -- 32 degrees.

After a cold start, the clouds will roll in and keep temperatures nice and cool Monday afternoon. The high temperature in Houston is expected to be 64 degrees. We'll have lows in the upper 30s and low 40s with highs in the 60s through Friday!

It's a good time to wash the car. I've got a dry forecast though Sunday.

But these cool, dry temperatures are giving us some problems. The drought is starting to move back into southeast Texas. For now, we are "abnormally dry," but another week or two of not receiving much rain will put us back in a moderate drought.
