Snow falls across Huntsville area

HOUSTON – Snow started falling in Huntsville around 10 p.m. Thursday and didn't stop until around 5 a.m. Friday.

About one inch of snow accumulated on roadways in the city. The snow was heavy at times with large flakes.

Most people took the advice of law enforcement and stayed off the roads but those who ventured out said the roads are icy an dangerous.

Police say they have responded to several minor crashes.
