Slain security guard's family seeks public's help in finding suspects

Enrique Garcia, 59, found shot to death in November

HOUSTON – Homicide investigators and family members of a man who was killed during an attempted robbery are asking the public for help finding the people responsible.

Deputies found Enrique Garcia, 59, a security guard, shot to death at a trailer at 538 Dale Street after 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said video from the night of the shooting shows a late model, white-colored minivan near the trailer. Three armed men can be seen exiting the van and running toward the trailer. They are then seen running back to the van.

Deputies said the driver of the van struck a pole and crashed, tearing the sliding passenger door off the vehicle.

The van was later found abandoned, deputies said.

Investigators said additional surveillance video they have obtained leads them to believe that the men may also be connected to several other robberies.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to calle Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
