Sketch released of man who allegedly posed as cop, sexually assaulted woman

HARRIS COUNTY – Authorities are hoping a newly released sketch will help them find the man who pretended to be a police officer and sexually assaulted a woman in north Harris County.

It happened on Thursday, March 6 as the 47-year-old victim was walking along FM 1960 near Kuykendahl.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said as the woman was walking she was approached by a man in a silver, two-door Toyota.

The man told the woman he was an undercover officer and that he would give her a ride because the neighborhood was unsafe.

Officials said the woman got in his car. Instead of taking the woman to where she wanted to go, the sheriff's office said  the man drove her to a business center where he pistol-whipped and sexually assaulted her.

Authorities said after the attack, the man drove the victim to the area of FM 1960 and Imperial Valley and dropped her off.

Investigators believe the wanted man is in his early 30s, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and red or black pants. He may go by the name "Patrick."

Anyone with information about the man should call crime stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or send a tip via the iWatchHarrisCounty app.
