Sketch released of man wanted in connection to security guard shooting during SW Houston robbery

HOUSTON – A sketch of a man wanted in connection with the shooting a security guard during a robbery on May 25 has been released to the public.

Police said the man in the sketch approached a uniformed armed security guard while the guard was sitting in his personal vehicle in a parking lot at 11300 Bissonnet Street around 11:45 p.m.

The man pointed a gun at the guard and demanded his duty weapon, according to police. During the struggle, the man shot the security guard multiple times, police said.

Surveillance video of the man was also released by police.

The man is described as a black man in his mid 20s, about 6 feet tall and weighing between 170 and 190 pounds. He is described as having black hair, brown eyes, a dark complexion and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

The guard was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
