Police have released a sketch of the man they said abducted a woman from the Baybrook Mall parking lot and raped her.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, December 6.

Police said a 24-year-old woman was sitting in her vehicle in the mall parking lot after finishing her shift when the suspect drove up to her.

According to officials, the man waved his the light from his cell phone to get the woman’s attention. The woman, who thought the man needed help, opened her car door and that's when the man implied that he had a gun and forced the woman to get inside his car, which is believed to be tan colored.

HPD Investigator, Shawn Valenta, says "He forced her to the back seat of his car, forced her down onto the floor and made her look down on the floorboard and not look up."

Houston police said the suspect drove the woman to a nearby area where he punched and sexually assaulted her. The suspect then drove the woman back to the mall where he let her go near the Texas Art Supply store on the backside of the mall.

The suspect then drove off.

Houston police describe the suspect as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern man in his early 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 180 pounds. Officials said the man has a feminine voice and a gauge earring, about the size of a quarter, in each ear.

Police are asking women to be on alert. "You need to be aware of your surroundings," Valenta explained.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this case should call the HPD Special Crimes Division at 713-308-1100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
