Authorities have released a sketch of a suspect who allegedly kidnapped a woman at gunpoint this week.
Sugar Land police say a 21-year-old woman told them she was driving home when she stopped at Palm Royale Boulevard and Commonwealth Boulevard at around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday and saw a white man wearing all black standing on the side of the road.
The woman told police she remained stopped at the intersection to see if the man would cross the road, when the man walked up to her car and looked inside her vehicle before walking to the front of the car, where he pointed a gun at her through the front windshield.
The woman said he then walked to the passenger side of her vehicle and attempted to enter, but the door was locked. He told her to open the door, and she complied.
Police say the man told her he needed a ride and provided directions to National Oilwell Varco at 5250 North Sam Houston Parkway where he exited her vehicle. She did not see the man walk away, but believes he left at about 11:40 p.m.
The suspect was described as white, 17 to 22 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 130 pounds. He had long brown hair and was wearing a khaki backpack and black clothes, including a black knit cap and black rubbery gloves. According to police, she said he spoke with a Hispanic accent and appeared to dress in a "gothic" style.
