The Shuttle Carrier Aircraft can now call Space Center Houston home.

The modified jumbo jet responsible for shuttle piggyback rides arrived at Space Center Houston on Wednesday morning, after starting its trip from the airfield to Highway 3 on Monday.

The fuselage is 190 feet long -- that's the length of two basketball courts.

The plane is divided into seven parts and weighs 318,000 pounds.

Now that the plane is at its final destination, Boeing workers will be put it back together and top with a shuttle replica about 60 feet off the ground as a museum piece.

The site is expected to open in 2015.
