Authorities arrested three people who led them on a high-speed, 100-mile chase across Montgomery County Tuesday night.

Cleveland police said it started as a shoplifting call at a Walmart. By the time officers arrived, the shoplifting suspects were already driving away. The trio led authorities down US 59 toward Houston.

Eventually, Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies and Houston police joined in the chase.

Authorities said someone in the car threw a gun out the window along the way.

The suspects eventually turned east toward Huffman and a woman jumped out of the car. Several officers stopped to chase her down.

After more than an hour and a half, the other two suspects were captured in Livingston after DPS deputies threw out spike strips.

Authorities arrested both at the scene. Their female passenger was taken into custody a short time later.

Investigators said they found drugs, masks and a pistol clip in the car.

No one was seriously injured during the chase, though one patrol car did crash along the way.
