Shoe thieves break in through roof

HOUSTON – Some thieves got creative in southwest Houston overnight to steal dozens of shoes.

It happened around 3 a.m. Monday in the 4300 block of Fuqua at Hiram Clarke.

Police said the suspects broke in through the roof of Y2 Beauty Mart, but they meant to go into the Active Athlete next door, so they had to make a hole in the wall to get in.

The owner believes the suspects took off with about 20-30 pairs of shoes.

At this point, police do not have any suspects in custody.
