Landscaper shot during robbery in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – A landscaper was robbed and shot in an carjacking Monday on Hartwick Road near Hirsch Road.

Theresa Miller witnessed the shooting and is still in shock over what she saw.

"It's scary," Miller said. "Right here. It's scary."

The carjacking happened as the landscaper was finishing up a job at a home and loading up his trailer.

The robber hopped inside the driver's seat and sped off.

Miller could hear the screeching tiers.

"I heard a gunshot and looked outside and saw a white truck coming down the road with a bunch of equipment," Miller said.

Miller said the thief shot the landscaper as he was chasing his truck. He then flagged down miller.

"I said, 'Did you shoot or did they shoot?' He said they shot and he showed me his arm and where they shot him in the arm," Miller said.

Miller said she called police and an ambulance took the man to a hospital.

"He was shaken up," Miller said. "He was walking around."
