Sheriff's deputy suffers minor injuries after crashing patrol car

Patrol car spun out of control

HOUSTON – A sheriff's deputy is recovering after a crash in west Harris County.

It happened around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday as the deputy was on his way to help another deputy on Clay and Barker Cypress.

Investigators said he hit a puddle on Clay and spun out of control.

The car smashed through a fence then slammed into a tree.

The deputy was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and was then released.
